Blog Week of 6-27 thru 7-15
Met with designers / decorators The Spencer Company (new Snyder Chamber members) in Dallas about new and up do date design and install options. Including customized space with in floor power ac and data options. 

Met with bnsf about rail options for Snyder and the economic development impact.  Jason McCullars is the economic development rep for texas who went to auburn and is from al so we had an immediate connection. 

Said goodbye to Kayla our USDA intern who submitted a farmers market grant Application on her last day. 

Went to Venice Louisiana to tour some workforce housing units that could be a good fit for Snyder. Community cookout including Billy nunguesser and the swamp people as well as an amazing fireworks display. 

Met with developers about a new shopping center for Snyder and discussed prospective tenants. 

Followed up with several visitors to see what we could do to help them be successful in Snyder. 

Attended the annual national rural economic development conference in Nashville. Learned about regional partnerships, workforce development and regional local farming coop ideas. Made contact with others from Texas and developed new collaborative relationships. 

Met with witn in Abilene about workforce training and mentoring program. 

Had a conference call with wtc and a tx company interested in a customized workforce training program.
